To laugh
is to risk appearing a fool.

To weep
is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out for another
is to risk involvement.

To expose feelings
is to risk rejection.

To place your dreams before a crowd
is to risk ridicule.

To love
is to risk not being loved in return.

To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds
is to risk failure.

To truly live, risks must be taken,
because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

The person who risks nothing,
does nothing,
has nothing;
is nothing.

S/he may avoid suffering and sorrows,
but s/he cannot learn,
feel, change, grow, or love.

Chained by his/her certitudes, s/he is a slave
– s/he has forfeited her/his freedom.

Only a person who takes risks is FREE

"S/he who dares nothing need hope for nothing."

The Dilemma ~Unknown
Soundtrack: Impossible Dream
It is still up to you to choose
to join with truth or with illusion.
But remember that to choose one
is to let go of the other.
       -A Course In Miracles

Expose yourself to your deepest fear;
After that, fear has no power,
And the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes.
You are free.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens;
but often we look so long at the closed door
that we do not see the one which has opened for us."
