Robert Emmett "Bob" Johnson

Johnson, Robert Emmett "Bob".
Retired senior vice president of the Baton Rouge Water Co. and a resident
of Baton Rouge, he died at 3 a.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Our Lady of the
Lake Regional Medical Center.
He was 73, a native of New Orleans and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East,
11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, April 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Religious service at St. Jude the
Apostle Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. David Allen.

A private burial will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at a later date. Bob will be lovingly missed and always remembered as a kind
and giving husband who was totally devoted to his wife of 53 years, Thais Trinchard Johnson. He was a great example to his four sons and a
source of strength to all of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Thais; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ric and Rita Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Roy and Pinney, Greg and
Kerri and Pat and Anna Johnson, all of Baton Rouge; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth J. and Roland Constantin, and sister-in-law, Barbara
T. Johnson of New Orleans; 12 beautiful grandchildren and a great-grandchild in whom he had a great sense of pride.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Honora "Nora" Burke Johnson; father, Stephen D. Johnson Sr.; and brother, Stephen D. Johnson Jr.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Johnson, U.S. Army Spc. Stuart Johnson, Ben Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Bill Johnson and
George Mumfrey. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Lakeshore Lions Club of Baton Rouge.

He attended LSU, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Bob was serving his fifth term of office as president of the
Lakeshore Lions Club of Baton Rouge and was a member of many community organizations, including American Legion Nicholson Post 38
and contributed to the development of Baton Rouge Green. He was an avid saltwater fisherman and a devoted LSU Tigers sports fan.
